Goals for this week

It's a goal

Last week went a lot better in the goal-setting arena than the previous week. I really am enjoying setting goals at the beginning of every week. It's so great to know at the end of a week that I've progressed in the areas that are most important to our family during this season!

Here are my goals from last week:
Personal:
::Read through Day 80 of the Bible reading plan I've been doing
::Exercise at least 3 times
::Finish my book for April (I'm almost finished)

Parenting/Family:
::Work with Katie to memorize question 12 of the children's catechism
::Make a plan for starting preschool with Katie

Education:
::Do the reading for Unit 11 of Family Herbalist Course

Home Management:
::Unpack suitcase and get things settled in from our trip
::Follow along with 4 Weeks to a More Organized Home Wednesday through Friday.

Work/Blog:
::Work 4 hours for my work-from-home job
::Post 4 times
And now, my goals for this week:

Personal:

::Read through Day 92 of the Bible reading plan I've been doing
::Review Psalm 119:1-8 (I started memorizing Psalm 119 at the beginning of the year and dropped off memorization during my first trimester. I want to review what I had memorized and get back into the habit of weekly memorization)
::Exercise 5 times
::Finish my book for April, start a book for May
Parenting/Family:
::Work with Katie to memorize question 13 and 14 of the children's catechism
::Make a plan for starting preschool with Katie
::Create a chore chart for Katie

Education:
::Finish Unit 11 of the Family Herbalist Course

Home Management:
::Declutter for 1 hour and 15 minutes (15 minutes/day, Monday-Friday)
::Start the Routine Challenges from 31 Days to Clean (it's in the reader-only downloads section of the site)

Work/Blog:
::Work 6 hours for my work-from-home job
::Post 5 times

  1. Wow--so excited to find the link to the Family Herbalist course! That's exactly what I've been looking for! I've been doing my own research, but I wanted something that's more systematic and organized. Thank you for that! I also love that you're making it a priority to memorize the catechism with your children. We have made that a part of our family worship and have been so blessed by it. Have you heard of the Songs for Saplings CDs? She puts the catechism to music with a Scripture proof for each. The wording is slightly different than the one we're memorizing, but it's still a great resource. It helps ME memorize more quickly!

  2. I am really enjoying the Family Herbalist course. It has such a wealth of great information and I love that it's organized, like you said. It's easier to store things in my mommy-brain when I learn them systematically--and easier to reference back to them when I have it all in text books.

    We have the Songs for Saplings CD's and our kiddos love them! I think it has made catechism memorization easier for Katie (and me *grin*). :)
